Many looks, one name
Through caresses, gestures, proximity, mutual understanding between humans and their dog or cat friends, a real chemical reaction is triggered, which stimulates empathy, increases happiness and peace of mind.
Infinite gazes, therefore, unique characteristics, and yet there is only one name to unite them all. That of oxytocin, OXT, also known as the 'love molecule', which is activated when we are close to them.
The images in the 2021 calendar, designed and produced by Davide Galandini for ENPA (National Animal Protection Agency), are dedicated to the power of these encounters.
Due to the limitations imposed during the covid-19 emergency, the shots were taken entirely in August 2020, in Verona, in the Enpa shelters with the generous collaboration of volunteers and the animals taken in.
